A very "Marilyn" Transformation: Featuring Pure | Organic Salon + Spa

Today I bring you a long awaited, absolutely spectacular blog post! Waiting indeed was a mighty struggle for the impatient human I tend to be, but it was certainly worth every minute spent anticipating for this project to be DONE. I love blogging, because it truly brings people together from all walks of life, sometimes to collaborate on one really cool project... and this is a perfect example of just that! The lovely women I had the pleasure of working with on this jaw-dropping "Marilyn Monroe" transformation, were Mallory Granrath on zee hair, Caitlin Hart on zee makeup, and of course, last but not least... the exquisitely beautiful, ridiculously talented, and photographing GENIUS, Erika Rock behind the lens!!!

I'm pretty sure we all know who Marilyn is, but if your oblivious to her influence on the past and present of today's beauty standards & traditions, here is a short snippet of her contribution to the beauty and fashion world. She was a famous actress and model known for broadening the horizons of what was acceptable for women in America. Marilyn was pictured quite often in racy poses (which is G-rated in comparison to some celebrities nowadays) to what was then in "modern day America" an extremely frightening thing to do as a woman. Whether you're a fan or not, she was a beautiful example of a talented and gorgeous babe working to achieve her goals. With that said, myself and the team of ladies I had along my side also wanted to re-create some famous looks Mrs. Monroe was spotted in over the years. We decided we wanted to show you the transformation in depth by not only photographing the look, but videoing the process on how we achieved it... and it's stinking AMAZING... Anyway, here it is. I'm so ready.

I just want to give another HUGE thank you to the amazing ladies who made me look like a million bucks!!! Mallory and Caitlin work at an amazing place called Pure Salon up in Nashville! Not only did they make me look flawless, they also didn't have to use any harsh chemicals and toxins in my hair or on my face to achieve this look.
